About CalculateMoney

CalculateMoney is a collection of free financial calculators built for India, created and maintained by Anmol Adhav. The site exists because most calculator pages online are either inaccurate for Indian products (using annual compounding for FDs, ignoring the Section 87A rebate, US-style tax slabs) or buried under intrusive ads and sign-up walls.

Principles

• Indian methods, not approximations. FDs compound quarterly, RD interest is computed per instalment, tax follows the Finance Act — the same maths your bank or CA would use.
• Assumptions in the open. Every calculator states its formula and its assumptions on the page, so you can judge the output rather than trust a black box.
• No sign-up, no data collection by the tools. Calculations run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to a server.
• Education, not advice. These are planning tools. They cannot know your full situation, and they are no substitute for a qualified financial or tax professional.

How the site is built

CalculateMoney is open source — a fast, static site with no trackers in the calculators and no framework bloat. You can inspect every formula in the GitHub repository, and corrections are very welcome.

Corrections

Financial rules in India change every budget. If you spot a rate, slab or rule that has moved on, please write in — fixing errors quickly matters more to this site than anything else.
